THE SLIP | See it at Vogue American Express Fashion's Night Out

I love how patrons are mixing the soft tailored  Week Day Jacket with this Week Day Slip. Crafted from panels of matte silk crepe, breezy double georgette and lustrous crepe de Chine, the silk panels are suspended by the intricate faggot stitch which imparts a discreet but luxurious lingerie quality to an understated, beautiful day dress.

There are so many beautiful pieces to tell you about: fun peek-a-boo tailoring for weekends, beguiling prints on cocktail-ready slinky rayon jersey, tailored jackets and trenches in leather, suede and silk jacquard with couture internal scaffolds in grosgrain ribbons making them sit just right and look so very flattering on your body. As patrons return for their second and third bites of the cherry, I enjoy sharing more about how this collection came to life.

Through sharing with you a combination  of  images from both inside and outside the atelier I hope to illustrate the intimate connection of both worlds that make up the  intimate salon engagement which lies at the heart of the MATERIALBYPRODUCT experience.These images involve @genevievebrannigan and patrons behind the scenes in the inside world of MBP and the outside images are set in the rooftop pavillions of RMIT’s Design Hub designed by Sean Godsell to show how the pieces  move out of the atelier and into the wardrobes, lives and worlds of amazing people.
